“Back Here” is the most ambitious and successful music video Matthew and I have created together. We made this with the ultimate goal of it being a highly collaborative and entertaining production.
The concept was a challenge for us to see how many unique characters Matthew could act as, and how many scenes we could bring to life with those characters. It took us two months to make.

Thanks to all the support and an overwhelmingly positive response, our music video for “Back Here” was recognized and awarded “Video of the Year” at the 2022 Bakersfield Music Awards.
Our limited budget and resources forced us to think more creatively than ever before. Each costume was pieced together from our own closets or local thrift stores. Hair & makeup was done by ourselves!
We also resorted to filming many scenes in our own homes. It’s surprising what can be achieved with clever set design and lighting!
Some scenes demanded special props or signs, so I crafted each of them for that extra DIY production value.
