HiFi Rush: Chai

Chai's character design really stood out to me and felt like something I could pull off really well.

So, I spent countless hours over 5 weeks thrifting for materials around town, crafting, painting, and gluing it all together. Easily the most challenging cosplay I've ever done.

This DIY costume simply turned out too incredible for me to show it off with one photo, so I created two more epic photos!

I used a steel golf club shaft as the spine of the guitar, and cut out a variety of shapes from lightweight foam sheets. After hot gluing it together, I painted it with acrylics.

I thrifted and modified all the clothing for this cosplay, using paint, EVA foam, and plenty of cutting and hot gluing pieces together. I decided to stylize everything a bit further by outlining all the contours of the clothing/props with a black marker.
