Eunith - Place Me
Oct. 2022
“Place Me” pushed our physical ability and precision further than any music video Matthew and I have ever created before.
This unusual concept follows Matthew in a neighborhood pursuit after a runaway microphone. Catching it leads a strange turn of events.

We needed an effective and efficient way to capture all the high speed shots in this production. I came up with the idea of capturing everything while on my bicycle! I wore my Easyrig for stability plus quick height adjustments, and attached my monitor to the handlebars. It took a lot of practice to get used to, but the results turned out surprisingly smooth. Definitely try at your own risk!
One of the most difficult shots we executed was the mic grab shot. There were so many factors we had to coordinate between the three of us: speed, framing, focus, distance, and the actual grab. We attempted so many times that we lost sunlight and had to try again the next day.
We filmed the scene featuring the full band inside one of the rooms at MESH Cowork in downtown Bakersfield. I wanted dramatic, stylized lighting for this room. So, we set up after sunset and used a single spotlight directed at the center of the ceiling. This flooded the room with a very diffused light, while still creating a nice back light for each band member. A cyan gel was used to color the light.
